We are a physical therapy and personal training facility with a focus on creating an atmosphere which allows clients to achieve their most optimal health status. With this multidisciplinary approach, we are the only fitness center in the area that bridges the gap between rehabilitation and fitness and sports performance. We do so by having myself, a licensed Physical Therapist and Luigi Degirolamo, a certified Personal Trainer working together to create programs that focus on the proper mechanics of running, jumping, cutting and landing to ensure safe and successful return to sport specific activities. Core Values: Injury Prevention - Each and every patient and client is provided exercises, stretches and activities that are aimed at reducing the risk of injury during sport, recreation, health and wellness activities. Education - As The FIT Institute, our aim is to provide educational opportunities for the community, coaches, and other health care practitioners to promote a multidisciplinary approach to sports performance and sports medicine. We seek to provide up to date research and treatments to allow our patients and clients the best outcomes in an efficient manner. Outcome-Oriented - Using our ARSI Movement Assessment, we complete a thorough medical based assessment to understand baseline deficits and assist in formulating a plan of care and program that meets the individual’s goals. Team-Oriented - We are dedicated to working together to provide exceptional service that is paramount in assisting patients during their recovery and clients during their journey to health. This also means engaging with local sports teams to provide group instruction and education.

I managed a full case load treating out-patient orthopedic and sports medicine cases, but also specialized in knee, hip and shoulder injuries with a primary emphasis on sports medicine. I gained best in class experience with one of the nation's top PT organizations before venturing out on my own. My time with Athletico helped form the business foundation necessary to run my own clinic. The vision for the Physical Therapy programs at The FIT Institute started as Fit Together PT, a program that I developed focused on return to play and injury prevention in adolescent and adult athletes. My goal is to apply a medical model towards sports performance. I developed the ARSI Movement System which promotes healthy sports specific training for the growing athlete. We focus on improving movement patterns to support the developing skeletal structures and reduce risk of overuse and non-contact injuries. A: Assess; identify muscle imbalances and strength/flexibility deficits R: Recruit; improve muscle recruitment during functional movements S: Stabilize; improve stability through muscle groups to reduce overuse I: Integrate; improve body awareness & integrate proper mechanical loading during sport specific movements
