- Guest talks, lectures, workshops & panel talks spreading message of FR, including guest lectures for Undergraduate and Postgraduate fashion business students (GCU, 2020), talk and workshop (Glasgow University Amnesty Society, 2019), ‘Fashion Impact’ panel member (2020), ‘Cultures of Repair’ seminar talk and panel (GSA, 2019). - Writing and publishing blog articles on this subject – most recently my four part long-form blog series ‘Revolution From My Bed’ found at ruthmacgilp.com/blog. - Project Managed ‘Fashion Revolution Hub’ at Colab for FR Week 2019 – arranged, promoted and hosted 7-day programme of events and activities. o Curated sustainable design exhibition, hosted timetable of workshops, panel talks, Q&A’s, displayed short films, ran swap shop with clothing donations. o Involved working with Glasgow’s ethical/creative community, including KPCouture, What Lydia Made, Rejean Denim, The Blankfaces, Cassandra Macindoe, MARA and more. o Allowed us to communicate the FR message to a wide variety of people in Glasgow, leading to many positive and exiting conversations, people eager to hear more about industry issues and invest more time and consciousness into their consumption habits. - Student Ambassador at Strathclyde during Masters. - FR Week 2018 – arranged event at Chinaski’s to close week, gained alcohol sponsorship, booked all-female DJ line up, sold clothing donations, raised money, provided FR literature and promoted conversation around ‘Who Made My Clothes?’
