I found that business development and marketing overlap to a great degree and having the understanding and expertise on both fronts is important for companies to achieve their objectives. We have worked with over 90 clients and delve deep into issues and problems to uncover opportunities and creative ways to drive business success. We bring commercial experience and a deep knowledge of marketing to each project. Our projects include retained arrangements for business development; market assessments and due diligence as well as modeling and primary research. Our practice is uniquely structured to bring focused, high level attention to each project. This can include working alongside your team or supplementing internal efforts with outside expertise. We work with companies to find products and technologies or partners to support the business unit objectives. For most business development projects, I work with clients on a part time and usually long term basis and act as ancillary staff to secure partnering arrangements. For all of our clients, I tap into an extensive network of high level professionals (that I have usually known for years). The network also includes an impressive number of Thought Leaders/clinicians that help to provide an in-depth understanding of the therapeutic area. Specifically, the CAT-2000 series is addressing the genetic predisposition for NASH through PNPLA3 polymorphisms. Patients with this genetic profile are at increased risk for NASH and the CAT-2000 series inhibits a pathway (SREBP) that directly decreases overexpression of PNPLA3. I assisted Catabasis with finding a development partner for this non-core program.
