(MID-STATE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY) Wrightstown, New Jersey 2018 SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER COUNSELOR I counsel males who have been incarcerated on issues related to drug use, the buying, and selling of drugs, and the possession and use of weapons used in relation to gang membership. I have a caseload of 12 men who I counsel individually and in groups and I facilitate didactic groups of 40 inmates on subjects like re-entry and relapse, life skills, education and employment, and ‘’straight ahead’, which talks about walking into the future in a positive way and not looking back to the old negative ways. Key Accomplishments: • I counsel several individual clients on substance abuse disorder. • I facilitate several group counseling sessions for my caseload and other inmates in the jail. • I create Master Treatment Plans (MTP) for my caseload so I know what issues each client needs to work on. • After each Individual Counseling Session (ICS) I do DAP notes on all my clients to keep track of their progress. • I do all paperwork in Therapractic to keep track of group attendance and DAP notes electronically.
