Bio
Kevin Ludlum
I hired Marty to be on my major gift team at Baylor, he was working in the annual fund at Baylor but I saw his potential in major gifts and hired him the first opportunity I had. He demonstrated his ability to connect with donors and navigate complex relationships to ultimately successfully solicit major gifts for the university. Marty was given more and more complex projects and a robust portfolio and did a wonderful job as part of my team. So much so I hired him as my Vice President of Sales at Korcett after I left Baylor. Marty is a leader that has the ability to connect with individuals and overcome obstacles in an effort to achieve his goals. If given the opportunity I would work with Marty at any given moment.
Rebecca A Kennedy, MBA
I have the pleasure of knowing Marty as a friend, former colleague and classmate. In all three areas, I have known Marty to be a person of great integrity, commitment and authenticity. Marty is a driven individual who sets his sights on identified goals and does everything within him to accomplish those goals. At the same time, he is thoughtful, considerate and caring. He does not accomplish goals at the expense of others. I have worked with Marty in the classroom and the boardroom, and have observed him to be collaborative and encouraging. He is both a team player and a leader who is willing to forego selfish ambition and gain for the sake of team success. Marty has the ability to view things from the 30,000 feet level as well as get into the "weeds." His attention to detail is what helps him be successful. I have watched him go over a problem time and time again in order to get it just right. Also, his ability to see a broader perspective gives him vision into the future. If I ever have a chance to work with Marty, again, it would be a pleasure.
