To sum up my responsibilities: -PLC programming - upgrades for currently used machines together with the help of senior colleagues. Setting up error screens, fixing initialization sequence, etc; -Vision systems (quality inspection, position correction) - mostly maintenance of current systems, supplementary tool insertion; -Trimming lasers - co-author of patent-pending resistor trimming approach. I am very happy that MARS gave me the opportunity to do an internship. During these months I was introduced to corporate structure, every department and its managers, traditions and day-to-day routines. From the professional side, I was introduced to major automation equipment that is used in the factory. Automation technician team leader let me work on real problems and contribute to the factory. During my stay, I managed to complete two projects. - First project involved programming HMI and RS232 communication bus. - Second - IoT solution for information sharing. Project development involved consultation with equipment suppliers, solution testing on real equipment and finally solution implementation.
