  Following a promotion to student supervisor, I trained and assisted new employees in the athletic department, performed building checks, and opened or closed the facility.While in the department, I also worked as an assistant to the department coordinator and a student employee. I helped the department coordinator in checking team budget expenses, creating spreadsheets, and setting up mailings to alumni and prospective athletes. While a student employee, I worked shifts in the facility's equipment room and frequently assisted in game management for soccer, football, basketball, baseball, and track and field events.I received the Athletic Department Service Award upon graduation.



Hancock Shaker Village, Inc.

  As a curatorial assistant, I aided in setting up of exhibits and building restoration. I also undertook projects such as the transcription of historical journals to create an easier-to-read copy as well as a searchable electronic copy. I conducted extensive research into the West Family settlement within the Shaker village and wrote a report on the subject, which was published on a limited scale and sold in the museum's gift shop. I was a speaker on this subject at the 2006 Shaker Seminar.As a historical interpreter, I was stationed in historical buildings, led tours, and answered visitors' questions. This position required me to conduct independent research into the village history and present the information to guests. Field trips would frequently visit the museum, and I needed to teach children of various ages about the history of the settlement. I also routinely performed the final check on buildings to help close the village at the end of the day.
