Martin helped us create our company graphic profile. He brought creativity and out of the box thinking to our project and challenged us to think about what messages we wanted to portray to our customers. In addition he came with great ideas and helped us see our own from a different perspective. Martin is extremely talented and manages to combine great artistic and graphic skill with an ability to communicate his ideas in a language that his clients can understand.

Polylogues studio is founded on the principles of the polylogue, meaning the continuous interaction between client, designer and context. Every project is approached with passion and devotion, where the ultimate goal is to present the best possible solution. And more playfully, polylogues studio is a catalyst for ideas and perspectives, discoveries and exploration; an experimental and experiential playground; a place for examination and developing, theorizing and conceptualizing, construction and deconstruction. Polylogues studio strives to achieve originality through authenticity. But above all, the results we achieve, we achieve together through our collaborate effort. Show less

An experimental and experiential playground; a place where I examine and develop, theorize and conceptualize, construct and deconstruct. As a sole representative for m:ARK5, I am responsible for all project management, illustratory work, presentations etc. - in short, architectural communication. I have used m:ARK 5 as a catalyst for exploring my approach to architecture and concept development and as a way of collecting perspective and experience. I have been involved in logo design and a number of different competition projects. Some projects never reach beyond the sketching phase but nevertheless these still provide invaluable sources of experience and inspiration. Show less

Uarchitects is an office which is fascinated by the interplay of different levels of scale and thinking : the scale of the city and that of mankind.; thinking in abstraction and in tangibility. The cohesion of these levels is sought not in one compulsive, dogmatic theme but, rather, in different concepts and concrete projects. The exploring attitude is not to find definitive answers but to raise questions in order to continue the reflective working method with regard to the assignment and the office. Working in the Netherlands in an international setting and within the scope of the Dutch architectural approach has been an invaluable learning experience. The architectural traditions of Denmark have many similarities with that of the Netherlands - and just as many differences. My goal as to move to, live and work in the Netherlands has been to expand my horizon and gain new perspectives, which working with the pragmatics of Dutch architecture indeed has given me. Experiences which have changed my way of approaching the initial stages of a project. Furthermore it has taught me the value of making mistakes and learning from them - and not being afraid of ‘starting over’. Show less

Arkitekterne Himmerland A/S is a small architectural office located at the heart of western Jutland, Denmark. In the course of the last two years I have been involved in a wide variety of projects - either in collaboration with a colleague or individually responsible for the architectural development. The projects have offered a considerable breadth in character and approach, including partaking in political discussions of great importance for the local community, though the projects have primarily been oriented towards one-family homes and extensions to such. Furthermore I have been the head of our satellite office and been initiator, and part of, a number of promotional events. Working at Arkitekterne Himmerland has given me a greater sense of independency in regards to developing and completing projects and strengthened my ability to communicate the architectural idea and concept. Furthermore it has enabled me to further realising the importance of not giving up on yourself and your idea. Show less

My internship at KPF gave me the opportunity to become a member of a dynamic and, at times, chaotic environment at an office with projects within a broad spectrum. I worked in close cooperation with Zoran Juresa on a number of large projects and was also given individual responsibilities including working on an administration building for a refrigerator factory in Kaliningrad. In the spring of 2004 the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art held a wide ranging exhibition paying homage to the life and work of the internationally celebrated Danish architect Jørn Utzon, equally focusing on realized as well as never-realized projects. Through the Utzon-Center, located in Aalborg, I was contacted in regards to presenting an never realized project: the theatre building in Zürich, which was a 1st prize competition winner of 1967. It involved delving into the mind of Utzon and extrapolating the ideas inherent in the project through analysis of the original competition drawings and equally having clarifying discussions with his son, Jan Utzon. • Teacher in Croquis Drawing
      • Sep 2001 - Dec 2003

Every fall semester A&D held classes teaching Croquis at Aalborg University. Over a three year period I taught, and helped teach, Croquis. Croquis is all about forgetting that which you have been told and taught about drawing and, instead, just absorb and observe the subject at hand. It is the ultimate exercise in comprehending the relationship between space and voids, light and shadow through the study of the human body - to which all architecture ultimately relate.

The purpose of this project was to visualize the central parts of Aalborg city. The visualization was based upon prepatory field work and measuring of the existing buildings and city space which were then constructed in 3d Studio MAX. The vision of the project was to create a 3-dimensional model to be used as a tool for the inhabitants and users of the city, forming the basis for virtual interaction and discussion of city development.

Working at Fich&Beengaard gave me the first insights into the professional world of architecture. Working in a team consisting of four the task at hand was to create a proposal for a new activity centre and library through discussion and presentation of individual ideas.
