  I am responsible for the development and delivery of assessments (exams) for a portfolio of some 15 subjects in the IB Diploma Programme (DP) at both Standard level (GCSE equivalent) and Higher level (A Level equivalent). Each subject for which I have responsibility is managed by a Subject Manager, and the range of subjects includes Integrated Humanities such as History, Geography and Social and Cultural Anthropology, as well as some core subjects such as Theory of Knowledge. I also have responsibility for the Career Related Programme (CP), which provides a balance of academic and vocational strands.In addition, I have line management responsibility for subject managers in subject groups other than my own.We work with Curriculum Development colleagues based in the IB centre in Den Haag to ensure that subject curricula are developed with authentic, demanding and practical assessments in mind, and with groups of external subject experts to develop the appropriate exam papers. Exams are delivered in multiple languages in schools all over the world in exam sessions in November and May each year.
