Martin and I where part of a Tedx event where he discussed the reason young people don't engage with Science. His talk was impactful because it made us think about why science seems like such a hidden subject and what it might time to elevate youth engagement. As a part of my work with young people I look forward to partnering with Martin to change that narrative and engage the next generation. keep up.the good and necessary work.

Martin is a bright and articulate young scientist of enormous potential. I was lucky enough to have been a TEDx speaker alongside Martin at the 2022 TEDxFrensham event. His TEDx talk was outstanding! He is a confident public speaker, which is impressive when you think English is his second language, and the quality of his ideas was fantastic. Martin is a likeable, intelligent and trustworthy young man, who is destined to become a leading light in the scientific world. It was an honour to get to meet him.

Collected, processed and analyzed electrophysiological activity of mice expressing epileptiform activity with epicortical graphene-based transistor arrays. Mapped-out epileptogenic areas of the rodent brain. Designed a closed-loop systems in Simulink to detect large optogenetically induced DC shifts and triggered electrical stimulation to modulate the propagation of large waves of depolarization (cortical spreading depolarizations; CSD) Collected, processed and analyzed electrophysiological activity of mice expressing epileptiform activity with epicortical graphene-based transistor arrays. Phase-coupling brain connectivity measurements between different brain regions as feasibility assessment for a closed-loop BCI system. Support vector machine classification of opposite visuospatial attended locations. EEG data processing in Matlab with EEGLAB and Fieltrip. Supervision by Dr. Soto-Faraco and Dra. Torralba.

Assembly of a population-based differential equation model of NREM sleep in hopes of understanding how neuronal ensembles codify external stimuli. Temporal integration over several realizations capable of recreating stochastic conditions and seizing the full potential of an "in silico" analysis.
