This position is a part of the DOHA RACF Star Ratings program and requires extensive travel across urban, rural, regional and remote regions of Australia to visit Residential Aged Care Facilities and interview (randomly, anonymously and confidentially) a section of their population, specifically including the voices of under-represented populations such as cognitively impaired people living with dementia and all the various diverse sectors of the population including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, GLBTIx, CALD, people at risk of homelessness, people who have experienced financial/social hardship and more. Skills developed in this role include: Utilising my understanding of the social determinants of health to assist with nuanced approaches to interviews with people of diversity. Developing advanced interview techniques - approaching sensitive topics in a meaningful, sensitive manner. Developing my ability to recognise the signs of cognitive decline. Utilising visual and oral strategies to maintain engagement and effectively communicate with people living with dementia. Developed an understanding of aged care facilities organisational structures . Continued to develop advanced scheduling, troubleshooting and travel logistics skills.

I founded and continue to manage this music industry professional development membership training resource – responsible for innovative strategic business planning and administration, strategic partnerships, client and stakeholder engagement and relationships, event management (monthly networking events for two years), program and project management, marketing, design and maintenance of the website platform and design collateral, video production and editing, intern training and content creation. Since kicking off, I have created, designed, filmed, edited and delivered 25 unique online courses comprised of interviews with over 90 industry specialists, produced 3 webinar panels, 20 well attended networking events, created and delivered multiple downloadable industry templates, a comprehensive 100 page industry beginners manual, annual regional music industry training programs for three regional councils, signed up 7 unique tertiary organizations for annual student cohort membership, signed up over 1100 individual memberships, provided real world music industry professional development training for 55 interns. In this role I continued to develop public speaking skills on multiple event panels and hosting regular monthly networking events.

Carnivale Event Producer: I facilitated the overall 10 day program and assisted with operational logistics for 24+ events, and solely managed the major community events: Street Parade (10000 attendees), Beach Day (2000 attendees). The role included strategic planning and daily operational tasks including budgets, licensing and permits, council and emergency services planning and infrastructure, audio-visual and electrical infrastructure, entertainment bookings, prizes, food and market stalls, signage and media communications, stakeholder and sponsor engagement. I made the 2010 website using wordpress and a highly customised Graph paper Press theme, and maintained the content. I was also responsible for the creation of the Carnivale facebook page and twitter page and maintaining all content.
