Martin is a fantastic ‘people first’ leader. His ability to translate company vision into a tangible / impactful action plan for everyone on his team delivered a significant contribution to the continued growth of our company and the successful outcome we achieved for investors at the end of 2020. Thank you for everything Martin, I hope our paths cross again!

Martin returned to lead the marketing function at Huddle after a private equity acquisition. His prior experience at Huddle, industry knowledge, high work ethic, flexibility, and rapport with existing employees proved critical in stabilising the team, during a time of extreme uncertainty. He was later promoted to Head of Growth, again during a time of extreme uncertainty, owning the critical functions of product management (including UX), product marketing, solution engineering and support. Again he stabilised the team, working across US and UK timezones, ensuring that we delivered the most impactful features, and retained and attracted new multinational customers. He was both strategic and hands-on in his execution. He introduced and refined a number of processes (e.g. monthly product comms, data driven and customer focussed research, a well defined and published product delivery process, product steercos) to align technology and the business, communicate research and progress broadly, and ensure that the entire company was focussed on delivering the right features, and maximising customer value through improved adoption. This level of transparency motivated CS, sales and technology significantly. His stabilising influence was critical not only for the teams he managed, the business teams he interfaced with regularly (CS, sales, marketing) but also for the technology team which we were fighting hard to retain. His efforts led to a number of very large ELAs, and multi year contracts. Impressively he was able to accomplish this with a declining budget, and fierce competition. As a CTO, I am extremely grateful for the direction and support he provided to me personally, and to my technology team. I enjoyed every interaction, crisis meeting, and celebration that we shared together. Martin is self sufficient and driven, able to identify and implement the right strategy, structure and processes, implement, recruit and mentor a high performing team that will deliver true customer and company value. Martin was instrumental in Huddle's success, leading to its acquisition by Ideagen PLC in Dec 2020. I hope to work alongside Martin again in the future.
