International Officer
-
May 2021 - Jun 2022
On behalf of the Czech Secondary Students' Union, I was honoured to represent the interests of Czech secondary students at OBESSU as an international officer. Throughout my mandate, I have participated in the most important statutory meetings of OBESSU - the General Assembly and the Council of members, a number of informal meetings and in-person meetings. Together with the help of the OBESSU Secretariat, we have managed to organise a local international event in Prague, which took place in September 2021. Thanks to this experience I have met lots of friends throughout Europe and gained incredible knowledge.

Task Force Member
-
Feb 2021 - May 2021
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, OBESSU has decided to find out the aftermaths of the pandemic on education throughout Europe. In order to do so, a COVID-19 Task Force was created. The main aim of the Task Force was to create a questionnaire, discuss the possible issues students across Europe might be facing and come up with a dissemination strategy for the questionnaire. As a part of the Task Force, I was honoured to have an insight into a research process from its beginning to the report writing, all the way along with my colleagues from Bosnia Herzegovina, Italy and Slovenia.

In December 2021, I was elected by the XVIII. National Assembly of the Czech Secondary Students' Union to become the Second Vice-Chairman of our Union. Based on my previous experience as a Board Member, I have continued to work on the projects started previously. My work was therefore not only focused on improving of sexual education, but also on organising the XVIII. & XIX. Moreover, during our mandate, we as the Board, have managed to earn a large grant from the Ministry of Education aimed for our upcoming one-year project.

Working Group Member

Apr 2021 - Dec 2021
As a part of the GSF Working Group for COVID-19, we have developed position papers on public policy and educational issues related to COVID-19. The WG organised a worldwide student summit to engage student organisations and movements on a fair and just vaccination programme and promoted human rights through solidarity campaigns in response to repressive actions by governments during the pandemic. The WG furthermore worked on archiving critical interventions and positions by student leaders responding to education and development issues on COVID-19.
