      Westenergie is the largest regional energy service and infrastructure provider in Germany. Westenergie supplies over 6.6 million people in North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Lower Saxony with electricity, gas, water and broadband data every day. With around 1,400 municipal partnerships Westenergie aspires to make the Energiewende a success in Western Germany. Among other tasks he took the lead carving out Westenergie from innogy SE taking full responsibility for all relevant topics to build up Westenergie as a standalone company. In this strategy Martin and his team strongly focused on Digitization, Susatainability and Growth in and beyond regulated electricity network businesses. Subsequently, Martin took major credits for acquiring and setting up innogy Consulting’s largest project in 2017, which targeted the new strategy for innogy’s largest EBIT contributor (~€ 2 bn EBIT p.a.).
