Martin is in charge of the public affairs strategy for the Sanofi’s Global Business Unit “General Medicines & Emerging Markets”, also responsible for the relations with the World Health Organisation. He is leading Sanofi strategy on Non-Communicable Diseases. Prior to this, he was Vice President International Institutions, Sanofi Group, and Public Affairs & Market Access Director, Sanofi-Aventis Switzerland.Before joining the pharmaceutical industry, he led research in Health System Science at the Laboratory of Applied Economics, Geneva University. He is still a lecturer at the Pharmacy School, teaching Health Economics and Politics. Engaged for the global access to quality healthcare, Martin is chairing the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA) work stream on Counterfeit Medicines. He is also co-chair of the NCD Alliance Supporters Group and is a member of the Steering Committee of the NCD Access Accelerated Initiative.Martin is an Economic and Social Scientist by training, with specialisation in Pharmacoeconomics.
