  In 2008 i was elected a member of the UK Youth Parliament to represent the London Borough of Hillingdon. In my role as MYP (Member of youth parliament) i worked on london wide campaigns focussing around teenage pregnancies and gun and knife crime in the capital.   Here i Volunteered as a member of the Hillingdon Youth council to represent young peoples views and engage with the local councillers to ensure young peoples voices were being listened to. This gave me the opporunity to meet and work with people of all different ages, beliefs and backgrounds. Our key achievment was to work on a Borough wide Sexual health campaign. This included running a poster, multi media and peer to peer advertising campaign. the result being that awareness in the brough rose significantly. Show less
