New Sephora cloud will give us the ability to shrink our foot print in the hosted environment and save up towords a million dollars a year in hosting fees.Corporate refresh on enterpise storage and VMware infrastructure to support new business driven projects and initiatives, such as VDI for call center for the holidays. Which allow the ability to move off legacy EMC storage and ESX hosts. Lead project to migrate over 600 virtual machines from an ESXi 4.1 and 5.1 legacy environments to new build environments with new hardware and vCloud solutions.Consolidated several CIFS location, which included standard Windows shares and EMC Celerra CIFS environment into new NetApp filers.   Hired to update Sephora's Windows infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the company's expanding business. Provide 24x7 on-call rotation with peers to support Point of Sales (POS) systems located within all North America stores as well as Windows servers in five remote office sites. My responsibilities grew to be the lead for finding new SAN/Archiving and monitoring solution for POS systems and infrastructure servers. I'm currently working on a project to design and implement disaster recovery for all CIFS shares and virtual machines clients to be replicated to a secondary site. Created multiple IT policies and documentation, such as guidelines for system patching, server image standardization, and request for proposal for vendor selection. Key Achievements:Deployed MOM 2005 and SCOM 2007 agents to all production servers and POS systems and setup custom monitoring for specific services and applications enabling teams to be more proactive in troubleshooting for specific occurrences, such as email notification of application failure.Technical lead on a multi-million dollar warehousing system refresh for increased demand and support of an additional warehouse location. Worked closely with the vendor's engineers to design and implement Oracle RAC servers, and 8 application servers.Implemented a new NAS/SAN storage solution for corporate office for CIFS shares/archiving and SAN storage for VMWare infrastructure. Acted as lead liaison with multiple venders to design and select to correct solution for Sephora. Achieved 40% to 50% increase in free space in CIFS shares after only 9 months of archiving.Migrated over 6TB of user data from Windows servers to new CIFS shares on the Celera NS42s without major inconvenience to the user.Created an image repository for over five server Ghost images and ten XP images deployed by RIS server.
