Bestellenbij.nl is a grass roots meal delivery service in the Netherlands, This means that rather than having a traditional top-down structure such as most of our competitors, with Bestellenbij.nl riders are also the entrepreneurs that run the business. As a result, delivery riders have more control over their own job and career and they receive a fairer wage for their efforts. Bestellenbij.nl originated from a group of deliverers with a love for the profession who see that the meal delivery market can be improved. Thanks to collaboration between local restaurants and local delivery people, there are short lines between restaurants, delivery personnel and customers. Short lines of communication, clear communication and driven deliverers enable us to take meal delivery to a higher level. After a very successful pilot in Nijmegen we are currently on route to a soft launch in Nijmegen in September. We are currently also making plans to expand to Arnhem and Haarlem in the short term, and we've also started talking to riders in Eindhoven, Tilburg, Almere, Utrecht, The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam to expand to those cities. As freelance deliverer I deliver food and groceries for Deliveroo (since January 2018), Quick Food Delivery (since August 2018) and Uber Eats (since June 2020). I have also joined Packaly to deliver packages (since November 2021). On freelance basis, I've also done incidental or short-term deliveries for individual restaurants. I deliver mostly by electric scooter and motorcycle, but also have a driver's license for cars if the need arises. As Rider Representative for Deliveroo, I don't just deliver food for Deliveroo. I have helped to form and maintained a community with the local Deliveroo Riders in Nijmegen to better work together and help each other, and to work more friendly and efficiently with both the restaurants and Deliveroo. As a result we have a better relationship with restaurants, which has lead to shorter waiting times at restaurants, and a more efficient use of the Deliveroo system, which has lead to lower Rider saturation and has helped to increase average earnings for Deliveroo Riders in Nijmegen. As a member of the Rider Forum I meet 4 times a year with Deliveroo and Rider Representatives from other cities to discuss Rider sentiment, provide feedback and suggest improvements. Show less
