I had the privilege to work with Marten for several years at Microsoft. During some years he was a colleague in a different team that gave technical support to our team in Spain, and during two years I was his direct manager. In that time Marten was my pillar in the team. Marten was THE technical brain in the team, and I mean in the whole European Microsoft Advertising team. Marten has an incredible technical knowledge, and what is best, he is able to speak that in a way that even non-technical people can understand him. He was fundamental in many projects, like the adserving platform migration that happened in all Europe, ensuring perfect landing of the platform, fixing and helping to fix many issues that arose in the way, and running many extra miles beyond his normal duties to guarantee campaign delivery and therefore being a key piece in the continuity of the business during the migration, not only for the revenue piece but also for the customer satisfaction. Marten was my technical "personal advisor", and his support was key to me. I always wanted to have the best people in my team, and I could not have anybody better than Marten. I would recommend anybody to hire Marten. It is a no-brainer question. Marten is a winning bet, and I would be very happy if our ways would cross again in the future. I wish him the best.

Marten and I worked at Xerox in the Service Center before he decided to move to Microsoft. Marten and I worked on the same account. Marten is a person who is very quiet and not easily stressed out. As the account champion for the contract Marten was my back-up and he was always the one who made sure I did not overlook anything. He is a very reliable colleague and is always willing to help out when needed and he does not say no when extra work need to put in. With Marten on your team I am sure he will be the stable factor every team needs. I enjoyed working with Marten as he had great knowledge of both the job and the account and he was a likeable person. I am sure he is in his place now doing great things.
