Scoring Supervisor / Team Lead
-
Mar 2007 - May 2015
Kids across the country take standardized tests as part of their education experience. Some tests require review and scoring by an individual to match the test data to the state department of education rubric and assign an appropriate score point. In turn, those scores are reviewed and validated by a scoring supervisor to ensure accurate and consistent application of scoring criteria across the entire subset of student tests. Variances are tracked by individual scorer to allow for coaching by the supervisor as needed. This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, quick decision making, compliance with deadlines and a high level of confidentiality. I was a scoring supervisor specializing in middle school math and algebra. Show less

Oct 1994 - May 2005
I managed multifunctional teams within the accounting department for a regional insurance company. Collectively the teams were responsible for billing, accounts receivable, cash processing, ACH, credit review and collections. My supervisory role included hiring, training, coaching, conducting performance reviews, and resolving conflicts. As part of the accounting management team, I was responsible to prepare monthly and quarterly accounts receivable reports, variances and forecasts. Additionally, I assigned budget allocations, created CBAs for proposed system automation projects, managed systems security and access, and provided cash control for disbursements up to $1M.
