I have had the pleasure of working with Marta over a number of years when I was the Group lead for sustainability across WJFG. Throughout the time we worked together, Marta distinguished herself with her boundless enthusiasm for sustainability and commitment to helping Abel & Cole continue to improve their environmental and societal performance. Her passion for sustainability is exemplary, and she was always going above and beyond expectations. Whilst we were working together, core focus areas included emissions reduction, waste control and ethical supply chain conduct. As an organic only retailer and latterly a B-Corp, the whole area of sustainability is inevitably of huge importance to Abel and Cole, and Marta rose to the challenge in all the areas listed, and more. As well as having a technical grasp of what is required to deliver a sustainability strategy, Marta is a great team worker; very empathetic and supportive of her colleagues. During the time we worked together this was evident not only with her direct co-workers at Abel and Cole, but also with colleagues in businesses around the rest of the Group. Sustainability leads in the various subsidiary businesses regularly worked together and Marta was indefatigable in her contribution to the team working.

I’ve known Marta for several years and can honestly say she is one of the most brilliant people I’ve ever worked with. She is immensely passionate about sustainability and creates a positive buzz around the office…not to mention there is an almost boundless energy and enthusiasm that she brings to her role.

I am helping the consultancy team to develop and deliver sustainability projects with Veris clients. This involves project oversight and delivery, business development, client management and thought leadership across Veris core service areas, Insight, Strategy and Engagement, focusing my work on the Strategy phase. Also, I am keeping the team abreast of the ESG landscape, an area that I am very passionate about, from best practices to regulatory requirements.
