Marta was a pleasure to work with during her time at JFD. Her attention to detail and diligence meant that all her work was very thought through and comprehensive as was her approach to tasks. She was very willing to try new activities and adept at juggling a varied workload. It was great seeing her flourish during her time working with me.

After successfully completing my 6-month internship at JFD, part of James Fisher group I joined the central marketing team at James Fisher and Sons plc and took an active role of a digital marketing executive which mainly focused on social media strategy and optimisation, email automations, web management, as well as industry research. I worked closely with the content and design teams on creating a content strategy for external communications to enhance the James Fisher and Sons plc online presence and brand image.

For 6 months, I was involved in various aspects of, both, digital and traditional marketing with my key accomplishments being re-structuring the social media strategy, launching a revised employee strategy and preparing the business to attend the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2021 trade exhibition. On a daily basis, I managed multiple social media accounts, as well as planned and executed campaigns for external and internal communications. I led the team in developing our own content calendars and planning podcast distribution. I also took part in building visually appealing emails for internal contacts, and I was involved in designing the staff newsletter and collecting and writing articles for it.Moreover, I worked on a few press releases and helped with the day-to-day web management, designing graphics for social media posts / employee strategy rollout, and storyboarding a promotional video for the National Hyperbaric Centre. Lastly, I was also the first point of contact in terms of sourcing new suppliers and liaising with them for a few major events / exhibitions for the company, such as DSEI 2021, naming ceremony of a new submarine rescue vehicle, and DECOM 2021.

My 1-month placement at TL Tech, Smart Home Solutions allowed me to develop a cohesive brand image and online presence for their start-up business, mainly focusing on promotion of their Alexa skill – Kindspace. I actively curated content for social media platforms and managed Facebook and Instagram paid ads that were targeting global customers based in various countries. All For ARMY is an international fan base, dedicated to a South Korean music band called BTS. In 2020, All For ARMY developed a website (allforarmy.com) which includes information about the band, their discography, music streaming and purchasing guides, concert information, achievements, charts and other relevant sections. I worked alongside the design and content teams towards developing the website, as well as actively promoted the brand and BTS through social media. In July 2020, the month of my departure, the accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook had 109.7K, 21.2K and 6.4K followers respectively. While working for All For ARMY, I conducted regular analysis of social media statistics to ensure that current marketing strategy was performing well, and that the short-term and long-terms goals were being achieved. Then, I kept updating the social media schedule with new posts which then were written by the team (myself included) and shared with our audience. As a team leader, I was responsible to review more than 100 applications and to choose new members. Then, I made sure to onboard them in a smooth way by explaining everything in detail, sharing guides, as well as giving everyone enough time to adjust and get to know the rest of the All For ARMY members. The team consisted of more than 10 people and each person was based in a different country which meant that time zones and time management were crucial for team management in order to ensure that the tasks were spilt in a fair and appropriate manner, based on people's skills and their availability.
