I had the honor of reporting directly to Marshall for two and a half years. During our time working together at Podium Education, I was consistently impressed by his ability to collaborate across departments, manage escalations with grace and effectiveness, and mentor junior team members. His commitment to the progress of the Enrollment and Student Success teams was evident in all of his work, and he went above and beyond in his efforts to ensure that our team had access to the resources and support they needed to succeed. He streamlined workflows by partnering with cross-functional teams to build out campaigns and our CRM. More specifically, he utilized his data analysis skills using Excel, Tableau, and Salesforce to ensure that our team was provided with higher-quality leads and the information needed to ensure our student’s success. Marshall's leadership style is both inclusive and empowering, and he has a talent for bringing out the best in his teams. After I was promoted to Team Lead, I was able to work with him more closely on a variety of projects that benefited our team, our company, and most importantly our students. He always offered me opportunities to join meetings and projects and give input on matters relating to our team and our students, which ultimately made me feel empowered to assert myself and grow in my role. We worked together on the creation of several new policies created and oversaw the progression of several project management boards relating to course launches, student issues, and escalation management. We also held trainings to be sure that our team felt secure in rolling out these new policies and their autonomy in making decisions relating to student-related matters. Overall, I highly recommend Marshall for any position that requires strong leadership, analytical skills, collaboration, escalation management, and a focus on student success. I have no doubt that he will excel in any role he takes on.
