    • SMART Scholar Summer Internship (I)
      • May 2021 - Jul 2021

This was my first internship with my sponsoring facility, as well as the group I will be working with. My summer included becoming familiar with the work that they do, as well as the team as a whole. The overarching project for the summer included calibrating one of their reverberation chambers utilizing the IEC 61000-4-21 standard, as well as other techniques, and comparing the results with one another. I also enhanced my MATLAB skills by working with MATLAB's app designer software and showed a proof of concept in its ability to provide a possible upgrade in their software infrastructure. When used properly, the MATLAB app designer software can be used to customize programs for the testing/evaluation that they perform. It has strong potential to be a powerful tool in future project developments. Other miscellaneous skills that were further enhanced include professionalism in the workplace, my communication between mentor and peers, and other soft skills expected in the workplace. Show less
