Implementing state of the art techniques based on papers in order to squeeze extra percentage points on our accuracy. - Using classic computer vision techniques to find objects in images and to preprocess images for our deep learning models. - Implementation of multiple proofs of concepts to rapidly test product hypotheses in the field. This includes setting up back-ends, front-ends and mobile apps to serve models to users, and use analytics to gauge customer engagement. Some noteworthy projects: - Customizing implementation of Mask-RCNN in tensorflow for detection and weight estimation of aquatic organisms with rotated bounding boxes. - Creating a Smart Camera for smartphones that runs machine learning models and classic computer vision algorithms. Image processing was prototyped in python with OpenCV and tensorflow and then implemented in C++ to run on mobile. The camera layer on top of it was made in Java.
