    • Vice- Head of Student Support Committee
      • Jan 2017 - Jan 2018

In 2017 I was appointed the position of head of wellbeing and vice head of the Student Support Committee (SSC) at Ormond College. This role involves organising events, speakers and programmes to promote mental health and positive wellbeing within the College. Whilst a predominant element of this role includes communicating effectively with external speakers, and programme organisers, it also includes advertising these events in such a way that students recognise the importance of mental health and wellbeing. As such, this role has given me the opportunity to enhance my skills in marketing through social media, as well as through other online platforms and to effectively utilise programmes such as Photoshop and Microsoft office. Moreover, within the role of vice head of the SSC, I have the responsibility of leading the 2017 committee and ensuring that the team works together to promote a positive approach to mental health and wellbeing in University students.

    • World of Work representative
      • Jan 2016 - Jan 2017

In 2016, I was employed at the student representative for the World of Work Programme at Ormond College. This has involved assisting students in their employability, by connecting them with work places, and organising events which increase students understanding of workplaces and career opportunities. This role involved: advertising programmes to increase employability in particular, through posters, social media as well as other online platforms; and communicating effectively with both students and external employers. I worked independently to create new events and programmes to increase employability including: workshops on interview techniques; resume building workshops; and workplace visits to allow students to experience the day to day activity in the workplace. The skills I was gained through this role – including advertising through social media, communicating with members of the public to promote events throughout the university and other colleges – would allow me to assist your company through work experience to a high standard.

    • Student Support Committee
      • Jan 2016 - Dec 2016

In 2016 I was given the opportunity to be a member of the student Support committee at Ormond College (University of Melbourne). The Student Support Committee (SSC) work as a team to promote mental health and wellbeing within the college. Within this role, I was faced with the challenge of dealing directly with individuals who came from a wide variety of backgrounds, and cultural values. As such, this role allowed me to develop an ability to form positive relationships with a diverse group of people, and to ensure these relationships resulted in a positive university experience. I believe the opportunity to interact with such a diverse group of people within the role of SSC has afforded me the skills to communicate effectively with a wide range of people within your company.
