Currently on the mend due to a nearly 5 year disability. After a successful surgery, I am now partially disabled and ready to re-enter the work force, albeit slowly. Looking for work opportunities summer/fall 2021, part-time remote if possible with an intention to move to a full time position; possible full time remote for the mean time. Started as a Structural EIT and worked up to get my P.Eng with Makami. My work included Industrial, Mining, Commercial, and a small amount of residential work; Steel, Concrete, Masonry, Timber, and Weld Design across the sectors. A lot of field work in all kinds of weather and locations, from simple/complex rebar/steel inspections to structural audits of large buildings and headframe inspections. I spent a lot of time at the Sudbury INO Smelter, Mill, Mines; the Vale Sudbury Smelter, Refinery and mines; the Vale Thompson Smelter and Mines; and once trip to Raglan mine in northern Quebec. Underground projects and inspections were a fun part of my work, I loved riding on top of the conveyances for Headframe inspections. I had fun working many people in the field from varying backgrounds and experiences. I learned a lot of varied information and experiences from many different designs and project managements. The work always had something new happening and different problems to solve, learn from, and apply to current or future jobs.
