My role was to work closely with our Tech Lead developing the frontend infrastructure, creating new functionalities for the Web App and the Mobile App with a strong emphasis on using best practices and having a good testing coverage. The biggest challenge in my time there was the migration of the Website from PHP/Symfony to Next,js (React) in a very short amount of time and while the business model of the company was shifting.   The Smart Waiter application is a programmable service tool which allows a restaurant operator to organize tables, take customer orders, manage stock levels and take payments immediately and securely. For this development we were a team of 5 and I was responsable of creating the backend. For this I used Express.js as the base, GraphQL/Apollo as a query interface for the Front-End and Sequelize/Mysql as database layer.
