  FYI - LinkedIn is so antiquated that it really needs a make over. I have been so busy that I've been trying to update my profile. When I tried, I see that LI doesn't put the positions in chronological order like other sites do automatically. Also, I have several people wanting to give me references but the fact that LI makes it so you have to be a "member" in order to do so, turns many people off. If they don't want to become a member of LI but want to give me a reference but they can't, that's not fair to me nor the ones who'd like to assist me with my profile. You should be able to let others place a reference on this site whether your a member or not. And you should be able to upload a reference you received on a company's letterhead but you can't. I also should be able to turn off the feature that notifies others of updates to my profile until I get the chance to completely finish it as well. I do have a new position, started my own agency but the last notice is not it obviously. I hope LI looks at these issues as well as others I hear about & see given on forums & fixes the issues. Maybe I can start a new site that's better than this one! So to all who have Congratulated me, I appreciate it but when I'm able to update with my CURRENT accomplishments, I will post them. It looks like I'm going to have to start from scratch since LI doesn't place things in their true date orders & makes it too cumbersome to use their site. Respect to all - Marlene Show less
