  Co-founded The Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation with Jeanne Whiting due to the frustration she felt with the lack of information and lack of research on this rare sarcoma. Her husband was diagnosed in August 2004 with a retroperitoneal desmoid. Responsible for all Foundation operations and management, as well as strategic oversight and overall Foundation development. Co-manages of all functional areas including grant and awards funding, fundraising and donor development, as well as collaborations with US and international research institutions. Works closely with the Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board to apply the Foundation's full capabilities in developing and implementing strategies to accelerate scientific breakthrough and treatment to improve/ extend patients’ lives with the ultimate goal of finding a cure.
