The Association of Mexican in North Carolina, AMEXCAN is a non-profit organization that aims to help the Latinx community cultural, educational, health, advocacy, and leadership in a transnational way. The non-profit organization hosts and offers different resources to the Latinx communities when natural disasters and crisis occurs. Specifically, during my time in this internship, we continued to see Covid-19 affects and I worked with the organization to help out in the Latinx communities. We organized several virtual events to educate and assist the community, food drives, and attended several meetings.
