Master Graduation Project | "Design for Child Patient Empowerment" | Industrial Design A tangible communication toolkit that puts the doctor’s conversation into the experience world of the child. The tool empowers the child to participate actively in their own health, support childrens in giving personal input and improves symmetry in the conversation. The tool was designed during a year-long collaboration between me and the Wilhelmina Kinderziekenhuis (UMC Utrecht). During my studies, I have always been active as a Student Assistant for the Communication Team of the faculty of Industrial Design. From the position of a student, I helped to inform and guide potential students at open days, orientation days or by being a host during the Dutch Design Week expo 'Mind the Step'. Next to this I assisted in educational activities by guiding new students as a Student Mentor and being a Student Tutor for the Basic Course Design, in which I guided multidisciplinary student teams (from all TU/e faculties) as a design expert in the creative process.
