Marquis Energy LLC is the world’s largest dry mill ethanol processing facility, specializing in the production of ethanol, corn oil, and dry distillers’ grain solubles. Marquis Marine LLC is the marine terminal located on the Illinois River that handles the barge loading of cargo produced by Marquis Energy. Brookfield Farm

  Brookfield Farm is a diversified vegetable CSA farm with an immersive working/learning program designed to move dedicated candidates into farm management. Brookfield Farm is a 120-acre non-profit farm with 80 acres of vegetable production and 40 acres of livestock production. Brookfield Farm uses non-certified organic and biodynamic growing practices for a 600 member 24-week regular season CSA and a 200 member 8-week Winter CSA.During the 2020 season I have been managing field planting, bulk harvest, and drip irrigation. I often lead a crew of 5-9 people including volunteers with little to no farming experience. Building off of last season, I have been trained in tillage and bed prep on a John Deere 2355 and cultivation Alice Chalmers G Buddingh basket weeder. In my first season (2019), I was trained in crop planning, seeding, mechanical cultivation, soil fertility, irrigation, harvesting, compost making, livestock care, integrated pest management (IPM), tractor operating, and Boston area and on-farm CSA distribution.

  During my undergrad career, I was a work-study student who assisted my peers and their families with financing their education. I advised them on how to complete their FAFSA applications, communicating best ways to complete verification documents and online application requirements. I also completed data entry and analysis projects. I operated multiple line phone systems and direct student engagement. During my second year in this work study position, I was promoted to senior peer advisor, where I held responsibilities of processing graduate PLUS loans and training new work-study staff.
