A major part of my Ph.D. focused on the development of software for the automatic collection and analysis of different movements. In addition, I developed apps for a convenient use of this software by practitioners. Measure intermittent endurance capacity of top amateur and semi-professional soccer players by letting them execute the Interval Shuttle Run Test (ISRT). Afterwards, my job was to analyze heart rates of the players with Polar, and to give feedback to the trainers about the tests. Head of Video Analysis

As head of video analysis, I am responsible for the recordings of the matches of the teams of FC Groningen. All home matches of the first team, the reserves, the u-19 and u-17 are recorded and my job is to take care that two people are present at these games to record the match. Another part of my job is to train the trainers and coaches to work with special software to analyse the games. After matches of the first team, I analyse the recordings of the first team so the trainers get specific clips of the last match and of upcoming opponents. Show less

As a data and performance analyst, I am responsible for gathering and analysing data together with the sports scientist of FC Groningen. We develop new analyses methods and present useful data of our own team and of upcoming opponents to the coaching staff.

Research Internship

Together with my fellow trainees, youth players of FC Groningen were tested every month to measure their growth, weight and physical fitness. Also, scientific knowledge was transformed into practise by answering questions of trainers, coaches and the sport scientist by using scientific articles.My task at the first team was to collect and interpret data and use video analysis to give feedback to the coaching staff. Several new data analysis were developed.
