  Economies in which we are are living experiencing a constant change. These changes take place in different temporal dimensions - long, medium and short term. The reasons are diverse, mutually dependent influences of a cultural, social and structural. These changes are crucial, but they always come up against challenges such as rejection and incomprehension. The result is an inherent risk for positive development of an economy and respective society. The aim of this series is to develop an understanding of what constitutes change in societies and economies, what drives it. In addition, an understanding of current regulatory issues and decisions is conveyed. Economy is not understood as disjunctive to politics and society. In this context, the series looks at the development of different countries, their societies and political systems and shows the areas of conflict that arise, such as social inequality, the ecological challenges of growth and the immanent challenge of populism and constant renewal.
