At Net Group/Depowise I am currently working for Synerall, which is a subsidiary of Net Group. I am developing an integration between a utility billing solution and a central electricity market data hub for the Finnish market. I have to work on complex business logic with 15+ years of history without breaking it while gradually modernising it. Tech stack includes .Net Framework, .Net 6, MSSQL, EF Core, xUnit, Angular, WebForms. At Net Group/Depowise I am currently working for Synerall, which is a subsidiary of Net Group. I developed data driven real time fault detection algorithms for building automation systems, using Python. In the process I also had to deal with data preprocessing and data standardisation. The company was a startup at the time with a dynamic environment where everyone had to do various tasks in addition to their regular duties. I studied oxygen gas sensors. I worked on material science, optics, spectroscopy, statistical modelling and ML. It was a diverse 5 year period in my life. In addition to the scientific work I took a couple of courses about data science, studied the Finnish language, a bit of Polish language. I made several presentations about my PhD work (both in English and Estonian) but also took part in a performance/presentation skills workshop. I was also a member of the student union. I had to work with a whole spectrum of different personalities and had to struggle to keep my studies progressing. But eventually, I graduated. I would not do it again but also I would not part with this experience (even if I could). Show less
