The Institute's goal is to encourage health care professionals-in-training to pursue ministry and vocational service among the poor. Noted achievements: • Developed a preceptorship program to host medicine residents and students in a primary care clinical rotation designed to explore issues of health care delivery; liaised with more than a dozen academic health training programs; hosted nearly 200 trainees in three years. • Created community health immersion for pre-medical students; hosted 20 students from 10 states; trained refugees as lay health workers; • Implemented online curriculum to support learning objectives; • Facilitated research designed to evaluate training experiences and deepen Siloam's ability to serve; • Established social media marketing plan using blogging, Facebook, and Twitter
