This multi-tenant application is backed by a number of web services, developed both in-house and externally. Some of the most foundational design principles successfully implemented in this software-as-a-service project were those defined by Heroku's "The Twelve-Factor App". This position allowed me to exercise my full-stack engineering skills blending both emerging and mature technologies. My responsibilities included designing and coding various UI and workflow elements using ExtJS as well as building many of the supporting server-side components using NodeJS and MongoDB. These server-side tasks provided me the opportunity to exercise Behavior Driven Development with the use of KarmaJS, Mocha, and Chai. I also spent time helping to improve the metrics emitted by our NodeJS server and tied them into dashboards that I created with the ELK stack for the purpose of finding various timing bugs and performance bottlenecks. In addition to this, I led many user experience and visual design reviews targeted at iteratively improving the overall UX of the product. Also, I was a part of the research and development team tasked to build the next iteration of TruView's enterprise architecture in order to improve scalability and performance.
