Mark is highly creative and incisive as a a software engineer. During the time that I managed him he had a steady stream of new feature ideas and was effective at communicating them to other functional areas in the company. I also found Mark to be an efficient problem solver in a wide range of areas in the Pro Tools application. He understood how to take the ball himself and when to solicit help from others in order to keep his productivity high. Mark acted as the lead engineer on one of the most complex features that I have worked on in Pro Tools having to do with IO Setups. During this time he was under a great deal of schedule pressure. He demonstrated a strong commitment to the company's goals and maintained a good outlook and sharp troubleshooting skills during a difficult release. He worked well with other engineers to get the feature completed on schedule and quickly came up with solutions to the most difficult issues that we encountered.
