I worked along side Mr. Domeyer in handling Chapter 7, 13 and complex Chapter 11 cases on behalf of creditors in bankruptcy. Mr. Domeyer's extensive knowledge of bankruptcy and general default litigation matters and his willingness to impart his knowledge upon younger associates made him a valuable and essential asset to the firm. Mr. Domeyer provided much needed assistance and guidance in handling complex matters and was a great leader and mentor. It was a pleasure working with Mr. Domeyer and I can only hope that our paths will cross again in the future.

As General Counsel, I work with an amazing group of legal and business professionals. One notable initiative I recently supported included providing advice and guidance on the strategizing, planning and execution of a highly successful business expansion that included a major warehouse and cold box expansion which would enable a 100% increase in our staging, fleet storage, capacity and service areas. By collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders as well as addressing numerous environmental, community and political challenges we successfully negotiated design and zoning issues involving subdivision and drought tolerant landscaping matters. I supported the nuances of securing financing arrangements and an expansion of the Company’s line of credit with our commercial lender which was used for the contracting of solar energy acquisitions and installation, which delivered a marked reduction in energy costs and the utilization of government rebate programs. Our expanded cold box capacity fostered substantive increasing in craft and micro brews which enabled a broader product offering to customers in our targeted markets as well as achieving targeted growth of Coors branded capacity. Our increase in warehouse capacity contributed to a significant easing of product rotation and cold storage capabilities. The final design incorporates both enhanced safety initiatives as well as achieving targeted human capital costs and by having separate indoor fleet maintenance capacity we greatly improved fleet performance to record breaking levels. I look back with pride as the entire team’s contributions resulted in a successful expansion, completed on schedule and within budget limits, while our business contributes to the local community’s shared business goal of environmental sustainability. While serving as Associate General Counsel, one of my main accountabilities was to lead and support our bankruptcy department in executing and servicing the Chapter 11 portfolio for Countrywide Home Loans, Inc. in California. One of my first actions involved performing an in-depth analysis of challenges and opportunities related to the judicial foreclosure process in the State of Ohio. This involved interviewing and selecting a local counsel partner with Ohio state-wide reach and expertise. By successfully implementing case management and oversight procedures, for the judicial foreclosure workload, we proceeded to expertly manage the docket armed with our newly acquired talent. The team worked expeditiously and obtained significant time line reductions for completion of judicial foreclosures in Cuyahoga County and other “problem” counties based on aggressive case management and adherence to performance standards. By eliminating our client’s initial geographic concerns we nurtured loyalty, recurring and referral revenue while at the same time servicing a project by utilizing existing personnel and an amazing local counsel partner. Due to the team’s hard work and perseverance we subsequently became our client’s “top-rated firm” despite managing case load remotely from California. It does not get any better than that! Show less
