My time with working with Mark began when Policy Reporter bought my previous company, Canary Insights. Mark was very skilled in how he integrated two very different development teams into 1 effective and diverse team. We felt welcome and a part of much bigger team on day 1. As we merged our teams, Mark challenged me with not only maintaining my Canary Insights team and product, he also reached out and asked me to take a lead role in the data mining team. He enabled me to come in and make changes and drive data mining efforts. His support was absolutely crucial to the success of that team. When Mark decided to move on from Policy Reporter, I was tasked with taking over his role. What I have found is an incredibly well organized team, that is focused on successfully driving the companies development roadmap. His transition of his role to me was about as smooth as any person could help. What I found was a man that us unbelievably organized and prepared for about any scenario. The engineering team is set up to for continued success and it is my hope that I will be able to build upon the great structure he has set up. Mark has a has a diverse knowledge of many different technologies and has a clear vision on how to implement these technologies. Policy Reporter had great success under his leadership and I am certain he will be even more successful going forward.

He is a very talented an experienced full stack developer who is well versed in cutting edge technologies but more than anything he demonstrated great leadership skills as well as taking ownership in delivering high quality work by making sure that every piece has been properly code reviewed and had a good test code coverage. Mark proved to be an excellent problem solver and tackled any task be that a very technical optimization of some query or a high level architectural decision making.
