Mark is a brilliant financial trainer and coach. I worked with Mark for many years at QinetiQ during which time I attended training sessions he prepared and gave. In particular I recall a one day course given by Mark to a group of 30 middle managers from diverse backgrounds across QinetiQ. Mark successfully explained company financial reports, how to compute various financial metrics and most importantly how to use them to draw conclusions about a company. Mark also explained many of the particular financial metrics and measures used internally within the company and how they were used by our senior management. The great thing about the training was that Mark had initially carefully tailored it to be at the right level for the group and he was then able to adjust the content to suit the audience during the session. He never lost the groups attention. I have also had the benefit of coaching from Mark, usually for help in preparing financial data for complex bids in order to best present the data to senior stakeholders. Mark is unerringly enthusiastic in giving help and guidance and I always felt that he took the time to check I understood any solution he provided rather than just fixing my problem.
