As Project Manager for Alpha Mechanical, I am responsible for leading subtrades and staff to complete incredible buildings for my clients. Within the constraints of budgets and schedules, I bring together other organizations to turn designs into reality and challenges into solutions.I manage mechanical scope such as plumbing for domestic and hydronic systems, HVAC equipment, sheet metal and balancing, fire protection, insulation and firestopping, air conditioning and refrigeration, automatic controls, and the commissioning of systems and equipment.In this role I've led projects to:- Provide housing for 1000 University students in two 20-storey towers and provide them with clean running water, fresh air, and comfortable climate.- Construct a major commercial kitchen to cook thousands of meals each day with the required water, drainage, natural gas, exhaust and supply air, and installing hundreds of pieces of food preparation equipment. - Build classrooms, offices, meeting rooms and events spaces with all the required plumbing and HVAC amenities.- Implement complex designs with modular heat recovering heat-pump chillers, heat exchangers, district energy systems, heat wheel recovery ventilators, measurement and verification systems, and emergency power generation.- Lead talented commissioning teams of subtrades, suppliers, and clients to provide a state-of-the-art mechanical systems that function as designed and with the highest possible energy efficiency.
