My responsibilities included design, analysis, development and testing of Quasioptical systems for a variety of systems. I continued my design and developmental work on the STEAMR project that was conducted in during the tenure of my first post-doc. This work involved collaboration between several research and industrial institutions. Additionally I co-lead the technological pre-vis work for a proposed balloon-borne atmospheric radiometer which would have followed the same observation goals as those for STEAMR.

Responsible for the design, development and measurement of a prototype Focal Plane Array (FPA) for the proposed submillimetre radiometer project STEAMR. Furthermore was responsible for optimisation of complete antenna optics train. Subsidiary tasks have included optical design of ancillary projects and co-supervision of PhD student within the THz optics group. Analytical and numerical design and analysis of various front end optics schemes for the ALMA submillimetre telescope, including Bands 3, 5 and 9. Worked closely with the groups responsible for development of these receiver channels, co-operating in modifications to the optics as well as multiple measurement campaigns.Theoretical work involved mode-matching analysis of submillimeter optical systems defined by periodically truncating structures such as light baffles.
