  Test, repair and inspect freight cars for FRA defects. Comply with AAR standards and CSX policy in Car Shop area. I use arc welding, torch cutting, and shaping metal for compliance of FRA rules. I inspect freight cars carrying hazardous materials, miscellaneous freight, and sometimes radio active materials, and make sure they are in compliance with all applicable rules and procedures of the FRA, AAR and CSX policies. In the fab shop I made draft straps, punched holes, bent slope sheets, cutt metal strips with a band saw, and drove rivets. At the Carpenter Shop we built cab benches and and other wood needs.
