National Sales & Advertising Manager | NSA SALES REVENUE BUDGET ATTAINMENT:  Achieved annual sales budget for each product (6 per year) totaling $1.2m; consistent target achievement year-on-year, and exceeded budget by 10% in certain years. NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:  Targeted, cold canvassed and scheduled appointments with media buyers and advertising agencies who represented key clients/companies, and also met directly with these companies (comprising banking and finance institutions, telecommunications, and legal practices) to conduct presentations to pitch tailored product solutions to suit their requirements, and to recommend viable strategies on targeting specific demographic groups.  Generated new business in direct sales both state-based and nationally. CLIENT BASE GROWTH:  Grew existing client base by 60% across an 8-year period. This was achieved by conducting exhaustive research into specific organisations (prospective business clients) to determine those worth targeting which were a good fit for NSA’s demographic; during pitches, emphasized how NSA’s and their products aligned. DIGITAL SOLUTIONS:  Proposed and recommended strategies to senior management on upgrades to the company’s website with a focus on overhauling content to ensure it was more informative, interactive and engaging for the audience. The upgrade’s objective was to increase brand awareness and presence nationally, and to engage a larger demographic. Key strategies included a Yellow Pages/Gumtree type platform; incorporation of a portal to increase membership; and content developed to focus on topic areas such as health, travel, insurance, and general everyday areas of interest. Sales & BDM | Clegg Media SALES REVENUE GROWTH STRATEGIES:  Conceptualized, developed and rolled a key innovative promotional strategy – vehicle branding – to market. Cold canvassed and secured new clients and additional business from existing clients; clients were large corporations. The strategy was instrumental in increasing revenue: achieved annual revenue targets (ranging from $800k in 2005 up to $1.8m in 2008) across several revenue streams over a 3-year period in a highly competitive market. CLIENT BASE EXPANSION:  Targeted large companies and developed and pitched innovative tailored strategies which were actioned by several key clients. One example included the Queensland Rail account: devised a specific advertising strategy (advertising on trains for several TransLink lines). This strategy was instrumental in reversing dropping attendance numbers for one of their sponsored sporting clients (Queensland Reds), in increasing awareness amongst the general public, and in securing more permanent advertisements for the company with national brands.  Won a tender to outfit all Poolwerx stores nationally; work comprised posters, banners, window decals, along with all their franchise-owned vehicles. All vehicles were vinyl wrapped to increase and promote the Poolwerx brand both locally and nationally. This led to a revenue increase in the 2007-08 financial year period of $300k. Show less

NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES:  Developed and executed new business development strategies which led to substantial increases in revenue and achievement of targets. Key strategies included the introduction of new commercial categories – 6 in total – in display classified media such as category-specific commercial display advertising, an IT-based weekly feature, classified packages for both general business and automotive, and a full colour lift out in automotive section.  Identified preferred positions within the publication to establish long-term commitment from advertisers. Specifically, a page and colour loading was applied for these positions contributing to an increase in revenue of $900k per annum.  Introduced new strategies for online advertising – such as pop up banners, and tiles – which generated an additional revenue stream and contributed to the achievement of annual revenue targets. MARKET RESEARCH AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:  Conducted research to determine peak time use (high traffic periods), and implemented a key online promotional strategy – a rotating 10-second tile slot which went live during this time period. This strategy contributed to increasing weekly revenue by approximately $10k, and earning the accolade of biggest performer nationally year-on year. Show less
