I furthered our mission by directly managing nonprofit and volunteer-driven organizations as they repaired and rebuilt homes, collaborated with case management and funding organizations to address critical unmet needs, and served as a point of contact between the state-run recovery program and various stakeholders on the local, state, and national level. These efforts resulted in the repair or reconstruction of 24 homes and over $725,000 in federal funds being distributed to nonprofit organizations and long-term recovery groups across the state of South Carolina in little over the first year of activity.
