Mark is the best type of professional creative—strategic in his thinking, methodical in his research, and concise in his delivery. Complex concepts, multiple audiences, a laundry list of reviewers or stakeholders… nothing phases him or keeps him from creating engaging concepts and impactful copy. I wouldn't assume a guy that can make brands sound and look so much better would be so damn easy to work with, but here he is.

Mark is one of the most Pure Strategists I have ever worked with. By "pure" I mean his Strategy is grounded in research, thinking and insights. This is where Mark shines. He can assimilate, organize, study and extract insights from high volume, extremely complex inputs. This kind of "smart" cannot be underestimated. It is, in my experience, extremely rare and difficult to hire for. Mark is a Challenger - which I find rare. This means (for example) instead of mindlessly falling into agreement with the most senior person in the room; Mark will respond with a challenging statement or idea. I not only deeply respect challenger thinkers, I think the industry needs more of them. I always want his opinion on my work because I know he won't go easy on me - and - we don't have to agree! Good Strategists embrace conflict! From a soft skills perspective - Mark is extremely kind. He seems to genuinely like the people he works with. He has a great sense of humor and a fantastic laugh. Mark goes out of his way to set others up for success. He is selfless with his time, eager to share learnings and a team player. It’s a REAL GIFT to want to make your teammates better, stronger, smarter....to "give away" learnings like he does is a VERY IMPORTANT and rarely recognized trait in agency life which can encourage people to "hold their cards close to their chest" and/or be more concerned with personal growth vs. the team growth. Transparency, sharing, teaching, generosity come naturally to Mark, which makes him a treasure! I can't say enough about him. I'm a fan.

Mark doesn’t seem to sleep. He worked tirelessly to deliver great work and ideas to our clients. He deepened our client relationships, broadened our business, and consistently exceeded our expectations. Always putting our shared success first, he helped his colleagues wherever and whenever he could. I recommend him without reservation, and look forward to working with him again.
