Apart from the First Aid and Transport we provide to our guests, we are also in charge of general mountain operations across many fields on the mountain. Took on a 6 month, 16,326 mile long road trip from Grand Lake, Colorado to Ushuaia, Argentina while raising money and awareness for the Range of Motion Project (ROMP). ROMP is an international non-profit that provides prosthetic care to amputees in developing countries. During our drive, we had the incredible opportunity to join the 2018 ROMP Elite Team on their successful summit of Mount Cotopaxi (19,347 ft) near Quito, Ecuador where 19 of the 22 person team reached the summit including 11 amputees. As the Department head for the Alpine Sales at Boulder Ski Deals I was in charge of the training and quality control of all boot-fitting and custom insoles. I was in charge of the maintenance and upkeep of all boot-fitting tools including but not limited to Dremel grinders, Fordham grinders, belt sanders, heat guns, and boot presses. I was in charge of maintaining and conducting inventories for the entire department, including skis, boots, bindings, poles, and avalanche gear. In addition to managing the back of house, I was also in charge of managing sales for the Alpine Department. I sold over $275,000 of inventory over my last two fiscal years in this position. Show less
