During my time at Brookside, my duties and responsibilities included: The Ladies 9 & 18 Holers leagues during the 2021 and 2022 season at BCC, as well as the Couples Golf Program and the monthly “Nine and Dine” events. All of these events were built and executed using Golf Genius technology. I led and grew the junior golf program and clinics at BCC while implementing new junior golf programs in the 2022 season. These new programs included the Brookside CC Elite Junior Golf Program and “Junior Golf Play Days with Mark.” Both programs enhanced and diversified the junior golf experience at the Club, as well as leading to families spending more quality time at the Club. Provided over 500 hours of private instruction, group clinics, and club fittings to various demographics of the membership from junior and beginner golfers to advanced players. TrackMan technology was used in all club fittings as well as incorporating TracKMan data in most lessons for student improvement and understanding. Utilization of Club Essential software for a wide array of functions including: the tee sheet, inventory management, member credit book, the POS software while working the Golf Shop counter, etc. Show less

With this position, I was involved in projects that aligned with the personal lines department's strategy, business intelligence and key 2012 intiatives. Those involved the: 2012 New Business contest, Series conversion project, Interchange program and USU analysis. My contributions included tracking and analyzing data with the Business Intelligence team to identify needs and assist with solutions. Additionally, I was able to shadow various positions within the personal lines department. Through shadowing, I was able to talk through policies with underwriters and get a better feel for how they think. This experience gave me a good overall feel for a typical day in the life of an underwriter. Show less

While at Wilkshire, I was the primary person in charge of the driving range. With this, I had to make sure that the pro shop had enough range balls to sell at all times. I also sold range balls on occasion during nights with heavy league play. Other responsibilities included: washing golf carts, changing hole locations, planting flowers, sanding divots, replacing yardage markers, spreading mulch, edging bunkers, and cleaning up after storms, I established a strong work ethic from my time at Wilkshire, and learned numerous life lessons.
